Oh we are SO ready for art! Two weeks in and these K-5th graders have been ARTing their little tails off!
We are learning about the Elements of Art, specifically Lines. So we first watched a video about lines. Then we watched another.
Then… we made ART!
K-1 Learn Different Types of lines after tracing their hands. (Writing skills)
2-4th Grades repeatedly write their names making sure they overlap in different directions.
5th Graders use a doodle technique called Zentangle to experiment how they can use lines.
5th graders watched these videos to introduce them to Zentangle. (Part 1 & 2)
The second week we watched a video on the Elements of Art, since we would be doing more than just lines.
And then we did this!
Kinder & 1st graders add watercolor to their crayon line drawings.
One must always be careful when telling a Kindergartener to “paint your hand” or you may get this. 🙂
2-4th Grade colored in the shapes that were made once their names were overlapped and letters were unrecognizable.
Raise Your Hand If You’re Ready for Art!
There are still 15 classes missing!
K-5 is ready!
Till the next project! ❤
